Soirees at Castle Tyrol 19.06. - 17.07.2025

How does one “play” a medieval castle?

In 1990, when the Soirées were founded to commemorate the 850th anniversary of the existence of Tyrol Castle, the answer to this question was easy: with “ancient” music. In the first 25 years ensembles appeared in the castle hall that specialised in music from the Middle Ages, the Renaissance and the Baroque era.
In the meantime, folk, world music and Alpine jazz have also taken their turn. Five concerts will be held in the evocative Knights’ Hall, which will become a sounding board for musical artistry “without borders” in the process.
The walk to the castle, the panoramic view over the Meran valley basin, the welcome drink and buffet during the interval as well as the torches that light the return to Dorf Tirol are all part of the concert experience here too.
